A familiar trucker silhouette made softer and more adaptable, this men’s corduroy jacket is cut from imported 16-wale stretch corduroy in a deep charcoal tone. Its classic fit, medium-cropped length and practical pocket arrangement make it an easy everyday layer for transitional weather, casual weekends and relaxed evenings.
The narrow corduroy ribs create a refined texture without making the jacket look bulky. As light moves across the raised surface, the fabric develops subtle tonal changes that give each panel greater visual depth.
The term “wale” refers to the raised vertical ribs that form corduroy’s recognizable texture. A 16-wale fabric has approximately 16 narrow ribs per inch, producing a finer and cleaner appearance than wide-wale corduroy.
This narrower texture helps the jacket retain the rugged character of traditional workwear while giving it a more versatile everyday finish. The stretch construction provides a small amount of natural give, making it easier to reach, bend and layer than rigid non-stretch corduroy.
The jacket follows a traditional trucker layout with a pointed collar, horizontal front and rear yokes, shaped chest panels and a straight hem. A full row of metal snap buttons closes the front, allowing the jacket to be worn fastened or left open over a T-shirt, flannel shirt or lightweight knit.
Vertical pleats built into the front panels add structure and allow the body to move without making the fit appear oversized. The medium-cropped length finishes around the upper hip, keeping the proportions clean when worn with jeans or casual trousers.
You can discover additional colors, weights and lined options in our collection of men’s corduroy jackets.
Snap-secured flap pockets at the chest preserve the classic trucker appearance while offering convenient storage for smaller items. The pointed pocket flaps mirror the collar shape and bring visual balance to the front.
Two side-entry hand-warmer pockets are positioned lower on the body. They provide a natural place for the hands without interfering with the chest pockets or the jacket’s cropped profile.
Triple rows of stitching reinforce the main panel joins, including the shoulder yoke, chest sections and other regularly stressed seams. This construction helps distribute tension across the fabric and supports the jacket during repeated daily wear.
The stitching follows the direction of the corduroy ribs wherever possible, creating a neat finish without distracting from the fabric’s texture. Additional reinforcement surrounds the pocket openings, placket and snap-button positions—areas that receive frequent handling.
The classic fit is designed to sit comfortably through the chest and shoulders without looking loose or boxy. Stretch within the corduroy supports natural movement, while the structured yokes help the jacket maintain its trucker shape.
For a simple warm-weather outfit, wear it over a plain T-shirt with denim and sneakers. During cooler months, layer it over a flannel shirt or lightweight sweater. Customers looking for a heavier alternative for colder or windier conditions can also explore our men’s leather jackets.
Before ordering, compare your body measurements with our jacket size guide. If the listed sizes do not match your proportions, made-to-measure sizing can be requested.

Always check the garment’s care label before cleaning. For light dust, use a soft clothes brush and follow the direction of the corduroy ribs. Avoid aggressive side-to-side brushing, which can flatten or disturb the raised pile.
Treat small marks promptly with a clean, lightly damp cloth. If machine washing is permitted by the care label, close the snaps, turn the jacket inside out and use a cold, gentle cycle. Avoid high heat because it can cause shrinkage, weaken the stretch and flatten the corduroy texture.
Reshape the jacket while damp and allow it to air-dry on a broad hanger. Once dry, gently brush the fabric in the direction of the ribs to restore its surface.
Sixteen-wale corduroy uses relatively narrow ribs, so it has a cleaner and less bulky appearance than wide-wale fabric. It still provides more texture and substance than a plain woven shirt, making it suitable as a lightweight outer layer.
Allow the jacket to dry completely, then brush the affected section gently with a soft garment brush in the direction of the ribs. Light steaming from a safe distance may also help lift the pile, but the iron should never be pressed directly onto the corduroy surface.
Corduroy is not waterproof and can absorb moisture during prolonged exposure. Brief contact with light rain should be dried naturally, but the jacket is better suited to dry conditions than wet-weather use.
The stretch fabric is designed to provide movement while returning to its original shape during normal wear. Avoid pulling the jacket excessively and do not use high dryer temperatures, as heat can affect both the fit and the fabric’s recovery.
A T-shirt, henley or lightweight flannel works well without adding unnecessary bulk. If you plan to wear a thicker sweater underneath, take your measurements while wearing that layer and allow additional room through the chest and shoulders.
Hang it on a broad, supportive hanger so the shoulders keep their shape. Leave space around the garment instead of compressing it tightly between heavier coats, as prolonged pressure can flatten the corduroy pile.
