Inspired by classic American ranch and frontier clothing, this men’s cowboy jacket combines sand-beige cowhide nubuck leather with long Western fringe, practical storage and a structured trucker-style silhouette. Its 0.8 mm leather construction offers enough substance to support the detailed panels while retaining the flexibility needed for everyday movement.
The neutral beige color works naturally with blue denim, black jeans, Western boots and earthy accessories. Whether worn for a rodeo, country concert, festival, themed event or everyday casual outfit, this American cowboy jacket brings authentic Western character without relying on excessive ornamentation across the front.

Nubuck is genuine leather with its outer grain surface lightly buffed to create a fine, velvety nap. It generally has a tighter and more refined surface than traditional suede, while still displaying the rich tonal movement associated with napped leather.
Brushing the nubuck in different directions can make areas of the jacket appear lighter or darker. These subtle variations are part of the material’s natural character and give the sand-beige exterior greater visual depth.
A medium-width pointed spread collar gives the jacket a clean Western-trucker profile. Double-row topstitching follows the collar edge, helping it retain its shape while providing a defined finish against the soft nubuck surface.
The collar can be worn flat over a T-shirt or positioned over a bandana, checked shirt or lightweight knit for a more traditional American cowboy outfit.
The jacket closes with a row of dark metal snap buttons rather than a zipper or traditional sew-through buttons. Snap fastening keeps the front easy to operate while complementing the matching hardware used on the chest pockets, cuffs and rear waist adjusters.
The center placket is constructed from layered nubuck and reinforced with parallel topstitching. Decorative X-pattern stitching surrounds the snap positions, adding both structural support and a distinctive workwear-inspired detail.
Four front pockets provide a combination of secure storage and easy hand access.
Two chest patch pockets have rounded lower corners and shaped flaps secured with metal snaps. These pockets contribute to the jacket’s trucker-style appearance while offering a secure place for smaller essentials.
Below them are two slanted welt hand pockets. Their openings sit neatly within the lower front panels, allowing convenient access without adding bulky patch pockets to the waist. One additional interior pocket provides protected storage inside the jacket.

Long matching nubuck fringe follows the curved back yoke from shoulder to shoulder. The fringe is secured beneath the yoke seam and hangs across the upper back, creating movement while keeping the attachment line clean.
The detailing continues down the outer sleeve seams toward the cuffs. This rear-focused arrangement keeps the jacket’s front relatively understated while delivering a strong cowboy appearance from the back and sides.
A shaped Western yoke forms the upper back and provides the foundation for the shoulder fringe. Beneath it, vertical panel seams divide the lower back and help give structure to the jacket’s straight silhouette.
A separate nubuck waistband finishes the hem. Snap-adjustment tabs positioned at the rear sides allow the lower fit to be drawn in slightly, while the center back remains clean and free from belts or unnecessary hardware.
Tone-matched thread is used throughout the jacket so the stitching defines the construction without creating a strong color contrast. Parallel double-row topstitching outlines the collar, chest pockets, lower pocket welts, center placket, cuffs, back yoke and waistband.
The front snap placket incorporates X-pattern reinforcement stitching between the closure points. Double stitching also secures the fringe beneath the curved back yoke and along the outer sleeves, supporting areas exposed to regular movement.
The full-length sleeves finish with straight nubuck cuff bands. Each cuff closes with a dark metal snap, allowing the wrist opening to be secured without introducing zipper hardware.
At the back waist, two short adjustment tabs offer limited control over the hem opening. The straight waistband maintains the jacket’s structured, waist-to-upper-hip length and completes its traditional trucker-inspired shape.
A dark diamond-quilted lining finishes the interior and creates a smooth surface over shirts and other layers. Its contrasting color is visible around the open neckline, adding definition against the light beige nubuck exterior.
The jacket also includes one inside pocket for keeping a wallet, cards or other compact belongings separate from the four exterior pockets.
Depending on the selected size, the jacket weighs approximately 1.5 kg to 2.5 kg. Larger sizes require more leather, lining, fringe and hardware, which accounts for the variation in finished weight.
The regular, structured cut leaves room for a shirt or light knit. Customers planning to wear thicker layers should compare their chest, shoulder, waist and sleeve measurements with the Leather Frontier size guide before ordering.
The leather is obtained as a by-product of the food industry, repurposing hides already generated within that supply chain rather than raising or processing an animal solely to manufacture the jacket.
Leather Frontier also provides zero-carbon shipping for customer deliveries. Current dispatch information is available on our delivery information page.

Remove loose dust with a soft nubuck brush, working gently in the direction of the nap. Avoid ordinary smooth-leather creams, oils and waxes because they can darken nubuck and permanently flatten its velvety texture.
Do not machine-wash, soak or tumble-dry the jacket. For deep stains or complete cleaning, use a professional cleaner experienced with nubuck and other napped leathers.
Allow surface dirt to dry before gently lifting it with a nubuck brush. A nubuck eraser may help with small dry marks, but test every product on a concealed area first because light-colored leather can develop visible color changes.
Blot away excess moisture with a clean absorbent cloth without rubbing the surface. Reshape the jacket and let it dry naturally away from direct sunlight or heating equipment, then brush the nap gently once completely dry.
Products formulated for smooth leather should not be used because they may leave greasy patches, darken the beige color and flatten the nap. Choose only products specifically labelled for nubuck and test them on a hidden section before wider use.
Store the jacket on a broad hanger with enough space for the fringe to hang freely. Separate tangled strands carefully with clean fingers and avoid folding, ironing or pulling them against the stitched attachment seam.
Nubuck naturally develops tonal variation as its nap changes direction and the jacket is handled. Regular light brushing can help maintain an even surface, although gradual character and subtle color development are normal with genuine leather.
Keep it on a supportive hanger in a cool, dry and ventilated wardrobe. Use a breathable garment cover instead of sealed plastic, and avoid compressing the jacket between heavy clothing that could crease the leather or fringe.
Quality nubuck can provide many years of seasonal wear when it is protected from prolonged moisture, cleaned correctly and stored carefully. Its lifespan depends on usage, exposure and maintenance rather than leather thickness alone.
