Made from substantial 1.3mm cowhide, this men’s hooded Harley leather jacket combines the structured feel of a motorcycle jacket with the comfort of a removable cotton-terry hooded insert. Its black leather exterior, metallic hardware, padded panel work and Harley-inspired graphics create a rugged design suited to riding, commuting and casual winter wear.
The included hooded insert is made from cotton terry containing 80% cotton and 20% polyester. It adds softness and extra coverage around the head and neck while giving the leather jacket a layered streetwear appearance.
Remove the hooded component when you prefer a cleaner motorcycle-jacket profile with the snap-tab stand collar fully visible. This convertible styling makes the jacket easier to coordinate with both casual clothing and traditional riding outfits.
The exterior is constructed from genuine cowhide with an approximate thickness of 1.3mm. Cowhide has a naturally firm hand and holds structured panels particularly well, making it suitable for this jacket’s defined shoulders and detailed upper-body construction.
Compared with lightweight fashion leather, 1.3mm cowhide provides a more substantial barrier against cold air and wind. It will initially feel firm but should gradually become more flexible around the shoulders, elbows and waist through regular wear.

Horizontal channel stitching runs across the upper chest and shoulder yoke, creating a lightly padded, dimensional appearance. Raised overlays define the shoulders, while shaped panels continue along the sleeves to reinforce the jacket’s motorcycle character.
Tonal topstitching follows the chest channels, shoulder overlays, sleeves and main body seams. Parallel stitching around the larger panels helps maintain their shape, while clean single-row stitching finishes smaller edges and joins. The black thread keeps the construction visually controlled and allows the textured leather panels to remain the focus.
Tonal Harley-Davidson-inspired branding appears across the chest, while the back carries a larger skull-style motorcycle graphic. Customers interested in additional branded and convertible designs can browse our Harley-Davidson leather jacket collection.
A full-length metallic zipper forms the main closure. Its two-way design allows the lower section to be opened while the upper portion remains closed, helping reduce bunching around the waist when sitting, driving or riding.
Always align both zipper sliders before closing the jacket. If the zipper feels resistant, relieve pressure from the leather and realign the sliders instead of pulling them forcefully.
Two zippered exterior pockets provide accessible storage for compact everyday items. Their metallic closures help keep belongings contained while walking, commuting or riding. One interior pocket offers a more discreet place for a wallet, cards or another small personal item.
Avoid carrying heavy or oversized objects in the pockets for extended periods, as they can stretch the leather and alter the shape of the pocket openings.
The body is finished with a smooth satin lining that helps the jacket slide comfortably over shirts, knitwear and other layers. Its low-friction surface also makes it easier to put on and remove the jacket without the sleeves catching on clothing.
Because satin is lighter than insulated shearling, warmth will also depend on the weather and what is worn underneath. The cotton-terry hooded insert adds useful comfort for cooler conditions without turning the jacket into a heavily insulated winter coat.
The dense cowhide exterior, full-length zipper, close collar and optional hood provide useful resistance against cold wind during ordinary outdoor use. Opening the lower section of the two-way zipper can improve comfort and mobility when seated.
The jacket is wind resistant rather than completely windproof. It is also not described as waterproof or certified impact-protective riding equipment. Motorcyclists should use suitable armor and tested protective clothing whenever their journey or riding conditions require it.
Measure your chest around its fullest point while wearing the type of layer you expect to use underneath the jacket. Compare this measurement with our size guide instead of relying only on your usual T-shirt size.
The shoulders should remain properly positioned without restricting arm movement, and the front zipper should close without pulling across the chest. Allow enough room for the cotton-terry insert, especially if you also intend to wear knitwear or a thermal layer.

Wipe light dust from the cowhide with a soft, dry cloth. If the jacket becomes wet, hang it on a wide hanger and let it dry naturally in a ventilated room. Do not place it near a radiator, use a hair dryer or expose it to direct heat.
Clean the removable cotton-terry component separately according to its care label. Keep ordinary fabric detergent away from the leather, and make sure the hooded insert is completely dry before reconnecting it to the jacket.
Use only leather-care products formulated for genuine cowhide and test them on a concealed area first. Our complete leather jacket care guide explains how to clean, condition and store leather without damaging its finish.
Remove the hooded component before cleaning it and follow the attached care label. Use a gentle method suitable for an 80% cotton and 20% polyester blend, then allow it to dry fully before attaching it to the leather jacket.
Wear the jacket regularly and allow it to soften naturally at the movement points. Do not soak it, heat it or apply large quantities of conditioner, as forced break-in methods can damage the finish and distort the panels.
Brief exposure to light moisture can be managed if the jacket is dried correctly, but it is not waterproof. Blot away surface water and allow the cowhide to dry naturally before deciding whether it needs conditioning.
The substantial cowhide and wind-resistant construction can be useful for casual riding, but no certification or impact armor is claimed. It should not replace tested motorcycle protection required for higher-speed or demanding riding conditions.
Allow the jacket to air after wear instead of placing it immediately inside a closed wardrobe. Wear a clean base layer, empty the pockets and use professional leather cleaning if the lining requires deeper treatment.
